Grand Bahama Power welcomes new Assistant Financial Controller

The Grand Bahama Power Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Learline Burrows as Assistant Financial Controller. Ms. Burrows comes to us from Sky Bahamas where she served as Finance Director for one year. Prior to that she was engaged at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she had risen to the post of Senior Associate.

A graduate of the College of the Bahamas with a BBA in Accounts and a Certified Public Accountant, Burrows brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new post. She will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller with the daily operations of the Finance department, including budgeting preparations as well as reporting functions and monitoring of internal controls.

Lakeisha Wilmott, Financial Controller, remarked, “We are excited about Learline joining the GBPC team. We look forward to the fresh energy and perspective that she brings to the position. Her enthusiasm and strong accounting background are a most welcome addition to the department.”
