Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, GBPC crews continue to work safely to return service to areas severely impacted by Hurricane Dorian. Crews continue to work to rebuild the transmission and distribution system in East Grand Bahama.
On May 1, GBPC will begin the connection of temporary accounts in East Grand Bahama (Freetown to High Rock) for customers with approved Ministry of Works permits and approved GBPC temporary power accounts.
Residential or Business customers applying for Temporary Power in East Grand Bahama can email the following documents to customerservice@gb-power.com :
Existing Customers
- Two forms of valid photo identification (Passport, Voter’s card, Driver’s license, etc)
- Building Permit issued by Ministry of Works.
New Customers
- Two forms of valid photo identification (Passport, Voter’s card, Driver’s license, etc)
- Building Permit issued by Ministry of Works.
- A valid Business License (for businesses).
- Proof of ownership or a letter from landlord giving permission to connect electric services in the customer’s name for those persons renting the residence.
Note: A security deposit of $120 will be billed to the customer’s account for payment via GBPC’s online portal, local bank or 24hour kiosk
